System overview:
CafeMan supports prepaid users by it's nature. The idea is the same as
other prepaid services. The system is capable of generating unique prepaid
cards of different type by their cost & credit amount (each credit
means a single minute of usage time on the client machine). The built
in feature of card management will allow you to create custom card types
& assign cost and credit limit to the card types. Then you can keep
the cards generated as much as you want. Users are suppose to buy cards
from the authorized person and/or place. A new user can sign up for an
account into the system using the card he/she bought, existing users can
use the card to refill their existing account. Each prepaid account holds
a credit limit & this credit limit is used up progressively as the
user continues to use any of the clients on your cafe system. Once all
the credit are used up by the user, the account remains suspended until
next recharge with another prepaid card.
Press 'Card> Card management' to bring the prepaid card manager.

Here you can see all the existing card types with their cost & credit limits. To add a new card type, click the 'Add new' button.

Here you give the type (you can also call it service scheme) a new name, specify the cost & credit limit and press 'Add new', your new scheme is created.
You can also update a card type by double clicking on the card type in the list.

Note: Updating a card type doesn't affect the cards already generated.
Generating prepaid cards:
In the lower part of the card manager, select the type/scheme of the cards
you want to generate from the Card type dropdown. Specify the number of
cards you want to generate, issue date, Card Identification number &
password length, then press Generate button. This may take a several moments
depending on how much cards you are generating. The more length you specify
for the Identification number & password, the more secured cards you
generate. But too lengthy Identification number & passwords will make
the process slower & the users may not feel comfort with. The system
will then ask if you want to print the cards. Selecting 'Yes' will bring
you the print preview for the newly generated cards from where you can
print the cards on your attached printer straight forward.

It is recommended that you print the cards out as CafeMan will mark the cards printed in the database even if you don't actually print the cards.
Selecting 'No' will suppress the print window for the cards, but the cards will be stored in the database as marked 'New'.
Using Card Browser:
Card browser is one of the features of CafeMan. It allows to to manage
your cards in the most friendly way. This is something like the Windows
Explorer for prepaid cards.

Here you will see the Card picker on the left side and the available cards on the right side. Cards are automatically categorized by their creation date & type along with their status. The card picker shows you numerous cards in a well categorized ree view so that you can browse for the desired set of cards in the easy most way. Here you can visually select the cards of certain creation date, of certain scheme, even of certain print status. Click on any of the nodes & you will see the set of the cards on the right panel that belong to that criteria, you don't even have to specify a search filter! By selecting an identifier group (the minimum group a set of cards may belong to), you can click the Generate card button to print the card set. Thus you can print the cards those were pending for printing, even the old set of cards. You can also delete set of cards from here.
Broader implementation of the prepaid system:
Assuming that you have a number of cafes in different areas and they have
tollerably fast internet connection or at least they are connected via
a Local Area Network. Can you imagine the implementation! Yes, you are
right, you can run the whole lot of your cafes right from a single place
with an only single CafeMan server, you even don't have to be in the cafes
anymore, at least for the purpose CafeMan is is built.
